PEMUDA MIC BAHAGIAN TANGGA BATU ANJUR KEJOHANAN FUTSAL

Pergerakan Pemuda MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu dengan kerjasama Pemuda MIC Negeri Melaka telah menganjurkan Kejohanan Futsal Terbuka di Komplek Belia dan Sukan Ayer Keroh, Melaka. Tangga Batu FC telah menewaskan Krubong FC dengan jaringan penalty 5 – 4. En. Gunasekaran Timbalan Ketua MIC Bahagian MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu bagi pihak En. Mahadevan Ketua MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu, En V.P Shanmugam Ketua Pemuda MIC Negeri Melaka bersama En. Rama Sockalingam Ketua Putera MIC Negeri telah hadir sebagai tetamu kehormat menyaksikan perlawanan ini. Program ini telah dilaksanakan oleh En. Shashi Kannan Ketua Pemuda MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu, Encik V.Ramesh, Timbalan Ketua Pemuda MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu serta ketua-ketua Cawangan dan Jawatankuasa Pemuda Cawangan-Cawangan dalam Bahagian Tangga Batu.

En. Shashi Kannan menekankan perhatian yang serius perlu diberikan agar semangat kesukanan dikalangan pemuda india kembali seperti zaman kegemilangannya dahulu. Beliau juga menyatakan bahawa hanya aktiviti sukan sahaja yang boleh membawa semangat kejiranan dikalangan pemuda india dan memuji sikap kerjasama yang wujud dikalangan pemuda mic bahagian tangga batu yang proaktif.

Sebelum itu Encik Gunasegaran, Timbalan Ketua Bahagian MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu berjanji akan memberi sokongan dan kerjasama sepenuh, sekiranya penganjuran Kejohanan seperti ini dianjurkan di peringkat bahagian pada masa yang akan datang.

“Program ini telah diadakan untuk menarik lebih pemuda india supaya proactive dan kerjasama dalam membentuk pergerakkan pemuda mic yang lebih kaliber dan aktif” menurut En. Vijayan, Ketua Biro Sukan Pemuda MIC Bahagian Tangga Batu.

EVOLUTION OF MIC YOUTH

The Malacca State Youth MIC Delegation Conference was successfully held with a lower but quality number of participants. The State Youth was prepared to face a change in the usual trend of MIC Youth Delegation Conference where delegates were bold to question and rectify errors to ensure that MIC Youth stands strong without flaws in them. For some State Youth Council members this may have caused uneasiness but overall this was an eyeopener for the rest.

A point to note is the State Deputy Youth Leader C. Gangkatharan's speech which included a story about a scorpion and a sage which carried an subtle meaning whereby we must carry on with our service for the community even if the community criticize us for everything we do.

Our MIC State Liaison Chairman, Datuk R. Raghavan in his opening speech had pointed out the various hiccups that we as Youths are facing and in order to rebrand MIC Youth we have to works in a Team immaterial whether we are Putera, Puteri, Wanita, Pemuda and/or Main Committee because we are one that is MIC. Datuk in his speech have pointed the reality that we as Youths have failed to realise and ractify.

I believe that we are moving ahead and evolving and take this oppercunity to congatulate the The State Youth Leader, V.P. Shan and his State Youth Councils for a well present Conference and not forgetting the Secretary, Sathiamurthy for an excellent AGM report.

PUBLIC VIEW FOR MONTH OF MAY 2008

Ranjini Shandavello, 31, a mother of one 5 years old son staying in Klang with her Engineer husband. She believes that she is a MIC member as she has given her NRIC to a particular branch for registration. She was never called for any MIC meeting nor was she called for any MIC functions.

She says that she knows that MIC exists but when asked what does MIC represent to her, she answered NOTHING. She claims that MIC had never gave her a chance to be a part of them.

When asked would she allow her son to join MIC, she says definately NOT because the trust and believe she had in MIC is lost and now it is merely a myth. She asked can MIC secure the basic security of an Higher Education if my son can secure 10A's in SPM. She says that she is not asking for much as she and her son are born in this country and therefore being Malaysian she believes that she and her son deserves theirs basic rights as an Malaysian and not of an immigrant.

She is not sure whether the opposition can secure a good future for her son but dont mind taking her chances since her grandparents and parents took their chances in MIC during their lifetime.

The Blogger thanks Mrs Ranjini Devan for her open comments and promises her that we the MIC Youth are moving towards a major revamp and assures her that a time will come she would encourage her son to join MIC.

UNDERSTANDING MIC YOUTH

State AGM is around the corner. State Youth Council is working around the clock to ensure the smooth running of the AGM basically to put up a good show to the Guest of Honours. Who is actually working ? Is there a proper delegation of work ? Have they equip themselves to cater for the fast moving Youths of this country? What is their blueprint in guiding the Youth's today to lead a successful life. Is this Blueprints going to be part of the agenda other than the usual routine of an AGM. Will new policies be announced merely to put up a good show ? Have they prepared a Task Force for enforcement of these policies. What would be the delegates responds in the AGM would there be a pro-active delegates or just YES MAN delegates. Lets wait and see... we shall know whether MIC YOUTH have evolved or merely camouflaged.

What is Notis Pemberitahuan ? The content of the Notice seem to indicate that if any one were to park their verhicle within the vicinity of this housing estate other than the designated car park would be summonsed RM$$$$$. Why is such law being passed or are these Notices are actually gazetted ? The goverment of the day should exercise more caution in issuing these Notices and be people friendly goverment. How much should we pay nowaday especially on the increase on the petrol price. BE MORE CONSIDERATE.

MARCH 2008 ELECTION

It was work for some of us to get things geared and moving towards a better goverment during the March 2008 Election. Here I was together with my fellow MIC Youth members joining the BN Tangga Batu Youth Team campaining for Parliment Tangga Batu Member of Parliment Datuk Idris Harun and the state assemblyman in the Tangga Batu Constituencies. Personally I feel that we should make an effort to know our member of parliment and assemblyman because they are our representative in the State Assembly and Parliment to bring forward our people's problem and formulate a working plan towards policies that provides for a good governance.

To be in politics, does not necessarily stop at being a worker in ensuring the party of our choice wins the election but it should also provide a leverage to solve our people's problem and my personal opinion would be that each and every politician should put on his THINKING CAP and come up with policies that can make a changes that are practical to all taking into account our multi racial country. So what kind of policies that need changes anyway?

Maybe policies need not change or maybe it may need changes but what we need to do would be to educate the people to take take advantage of the oppercunities available by the existing BN goverment. Who should do this job of educating the people? We the MIC Youth? Are we ready to address the people ?

Well we're for the people and we have the outmost duty to educate the people on their rights and to take advantage of the oppercunity available. But in order for us to perform this task we should first know the system inorder for us to plan the right path in assisting the general public in making the right decision. Working as a team within the system to educate our members to prepare them for a BRIGHTER FUTURE !
